Meet the Dentists

Joel Whitt
DMD, PC

Dr. Whitt would love to meet your pediatric dentistry needs. Having five children himself, Dr. Whitt understands his patients and is able to make the connections that ease fears and create a positive experience. Dr. Whitt is originally from Oregon, but has made Idaho his home since 2005. He enjoys all kinds of sports. When he is not spending time with his family he can be found coaching baseball or lacrosse, golfing, or even playing Halo. A unique fact about Dr. Whitt is that he can speak both French and Tahitian. If you want to see Dr. Whitt smile, next time you see him say "Ia ora na" (your-on-a). Ia ora na means "hello" in Tahitian.

Dr. Whitt graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelors degree in business management in 1997. He then went on to obtain his DMD degree from Oregon Health and Sciences University in 2002. In 2003 Dr. Whitt spent a year at the University of Utah hospital practicing and studying general dentistry. From there Dr. Whitt, his wife Andy, and their four children (#5 was born in Rochester)moved across the country to Rochester New York to pursue specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at The University of Rochester/Eastman Dental Center. After two years in New York Dr. Whitt completed his training in Pediatric dentistry and then moved back west to the Treasure Valley. In 2007 Dr. Whitt became one of only a few board certified pediatric dentists in the state of Idaho.

 

Robert Lewis
DMD

Dr. Lewis was born in Blackfoot Idaho and is the 2nd of five children.  Dr. Lewis attended Idaho State University where he met Diane, his beautiful wife. They were married in 2001 before moving to Cleveland, Ohio to attend dental school at Case Western Reserve. After graduating in 2007 they moved to Star Idaho where they started their darling family.

"I like dentristy because I like to help people.  I enjoy helping fix problems, or remove problems that interfere with people living a good life. I love working with kids because kids make things fun.  They make me laugh and really do say the darndest things.  I like working at Dental Care for Kids because everyone is here for the kids.  From the front offfice to the assistants to the docs.  Our goal is to make their dental experience better."

Dr. Lewis enjoys music especially Reggae!  He also spends his time hiking and camping.
